How We Started

Founded in 2006 by the ARA Educational Foundation, ARA University was developed to fill the need for accessible training that would help automotive recyclers succeed. The first training was related to the Inventory Specialist and Parts Grading. ARA’s efforts to standardize recycled auto parts descriptions through parts grading can increase profits and sales channels for more professional automotive recycling businesses who adhere to it. The training was a success, and over the years the ARAU strives to identify the needs of the industry to provide training that ensures industry businesses operate at their highest levels of excellence – safely, efficiently and profitably.

The ARA University curriculum provides employees of automotive recycling businesses with a training tract that will increase their skills and capabilities. The goal is to help an employee develop a career path with your company. We provide you with training related to procedures, governmental requirements, safety, sales, management and so much more.
